The Tyrolean Rafting Association is a joint organization of entrepreneurs who have been representing the interests of the whitewater sport of rafting in the state of Tyrol for three decades. During this period, there have been regular changes to the guidelines, conditions in the concession notice and the provisions of the safety criteria. A large part of today's legislation was drawn up by the association in cooperation with the Tyrolean state government and the Federal Ministry.
For over three decades , training and testing has been carried out in Tyrol according to the high safety standards of the Tyrolean Rafting Association.
Holders of IRF boating licenses can apply for a Tyrolean rafting license after additional training through the association or an association member. Once issued, the Tyrolean rafting license does not need to be renewed. It is valid on all waters in Tyrol that are designated for commercial rafting.
Austrian Raft Boating License and IRF (International Rafting Federation) Boating Licenses Level II, III and IV will continue to be recognized by the Tyrolean Rafting Association and the Tyrolean State Government.
The association members meet the current guidelines and requirements of the current safety standards of the TRV and the Tyrolean state government, which have achieved a high reputation not only nationally but also internationally.
